Issues and Challenges of TAP NPB Data Analysis

  • Internet control requirements are becoming increasingly stringent

  • Big data business requirements are increasing day by day

  • Enterprises pay more and more attention to network/application performance

  • The China Banking, Securities and Insurance Regulatory Commission has strict requirements on financial security.

  • The switch mirror port is not enough

  • Different analysis equipment has different data requirements and needs to be preprocessed before being sent to the analysis equipment.

  • When the amount of data is large, multiple analysis devices are required for load sharing.

  • Mirrored data from multiple collection points need to be aggregated before being sent to the analysis device.

  • Traffic may be collected repeatedly and needs to be pre-deduplicated before being sent to the analysis equipment.

  • The analysis device needs to know which monitoring point the packet comes from

  • Customers make changes to bypass security equipment and do not want to change the configuration in the production network

Network Switch Solution

The TAP device is deployed between the production network mirror port and the analysis device cluster.

After the traffic mirrored by one or more production network devices is aggregated, it is distributed to one or more data analytical equipment.
