  • Campus networks: In Campus networks, aggregation switch connects multiple buildings, labs and student apartment buildings' access layer. It provides high-speed links and flow management. 

  • Branch offices networks: In branch offices networks which cross different locations, aggregation switch is used to connect each branch's access layer, and aggregates data flow to core layer, to realize communication and data switch crossing different places. 

What Are The Application Scenarios of Core Switch?

Internet access points: In ISP networks, core layer connects multiple aggregation layers, and routes data traffic to targeted internet access point.

Large-scale enterprise networks: In large-scale enterprise networks, core switch is used to connect multiple aggregation layers and data centers. It supports telecommunication and data switch between different departments of enterprise, as well as connection to external networks.

Cloud service provider networks: In Cloud service provider networks’ structure, core switch is key component to link multiple data centers and cloud areas.
